This week on Cosmic Citizen we are featuring a repeat of our interview with Steve McIntosh (link to bio). Steve is a leader in the integral philosophy movement and the author of the acclaimed book: Integral Consciousness and the Future of Evolution (Paragon House 2007).    Coming on the heals of last week's show on the Emergent Christian movement, we feel this interview is timely. In addition, Steve will be the featured speaker at the Fellowship's conference in August of 2012. The theme of the conference is appropriately, Progressive Planetary Evolution.   The emerging integral perspective provides an enlarged understanding of the evolution of consciousness and culture, leading to realistic and pragmatic solutions to our growing global problems, both environmental and political. Integral philosophy affirms the values and goals of progressive spiritual culture, but also seeks to “transcend and include” the postmodern worldview of the “cultural creatives” through an evolutionary perspective that reveals new insights about the evolution of consciousness.     Steve McIntosh is commonly recognized and a major contributor to the Integral Movement.
