I explain the fact that it's a monopoly means its products are homogeneous and ubiquitous and therefore easy to breach. There's also lots of shoulder-shrugging, neglect, and cluelessness because there's no motivation to improve.Apparently my industry STILL hasn't realized that monopolies are bad.As someone steeped in the tech world, Cara points out that this industry's tendency to react to all problems by slopping on more complexity is actually a leadership problem.
