Episode Synopsis

Tuesday Talks features Rachel Seymour who is a psychosexual and relationship therapist. Rachel works with people from all backgrounds and walks of life, although she most often works with clients who fall into the category of gender, sexuality or relationship diverse (GSRD). That could mean someone is kinky, polyamorous, a sex worker, queer (or a combination!). Rachel Seymour works with people on a wide variety of issues: she sees couples who want to work on improving communication in their relationship; she sees individuals who are struggling to identify what they want sexually; she sees people who want a space to process their feelings more generally. Rachel works in an integrative way. This means she pulls from a variety of different therapeutic models, including humanistic, person-centred and existential. She also works through a GSRD lens - for example, Rachel believes that everyone (regardless of relationship style) can benefit from the skills developed through polyamory (for example communication). Rachel works both short-term and long-term with clients based on your goals and needs. You will work together to identify what you are looking for from a therapist, whether that is skills-building, a space to process difficult feelings, an empathetic ear, or sex education.
