Actually, in this first part, I cover the history and details of the English Revised Version a direct decedent of the King James Version, the American Standard Version, and make it part of the way through the Revised Standard Version. I also touch on the changing source material for the versions and the evolution of the English language that was part of the reason for the revisions.
