Background of Deacon Mike: Raised in Florida, High School at Assemblies of God, College, Air Force career, rediscovered faith in Siciliy, Met wife in Tucson, AZ, Married in 1990, 2003 RCIA, Retired from Air Force in 2006, Moved to Dubuque with position in human resources. Began work with Catholic charities, joined Knights of Columbus, CEW 2009, Deaconate at St. Columbkille's.

Segment 2:
Thank you to donors during Aquinas Communications pledge drive.
Deacon Mike as leader in Knights of Columbus leading to deeper faith.
Deaconate formation path ~5 years

Segment 3:
Deaconate must be approved by both husband and wife. Began as lector then acolyte. Called to orders by Archbishop Jackels. Practicum follows. Ordination in 2023 through laying on of hands.
Stronger marriage and family through prayer.
New position as housing manager for Catholic Charities in 2022. Marriage coordinator at St. Columbkille's. Highlight of baptizing grandchildren.
