#Entrepreneurship. Sometimes you choose it. Sometimes it happens to you while you’re chasing something else.
This episode format differs from the others. It includes several clipped highlights from a broader conversation I had with my friend and local entrepreneur, Nikita Floyd, owner of Green Forever Landscaping and Design, Inc. But there were so many nuggets and gems from our conversation I wanted to include it as a mini-episode.
Nikita's purpose led him to his passion–or maybe it was the other way around. His passion was acting. But his “little landscaping business”–a Prince George’s County Business of the Year–had already made him a millionaire by age 26. He’d make comedic YouTube videos in the early 2000s that got the attention of the Oprah Winfrey Network and NBC to develop shows! Those opportunities didn’t pan out, but that media presence unexpectedly grew his landscaping business even more. Landscaping won. Listen to his story here and on YouTube.
