Listen "Two Years On..."
Episode Synopsis
Two years ago, on 29th July 2022, The Canvas was locked out of our magnificent space on Hanbury Street in East London. My name's Ruth Rogers, and I created The Canvas. I watched over the years as humans hatched and hosted incredible projects, developed beautiful friendships, and directly supported people in need.I don't think I properly grieved the loss of our space, and yet, over these two years, I've been thinking about and exploring what The Canvas might look like if it came back.Today marks the launch of that next chapter; this one-off episode, called Two Years On, tells the story of The Canvas, on my living room sofa at home with the wonderful Emma Ashru Jones. It also launches a new podcast, released in September, where we'll celebrate the people and projects that grew within The Canvas, and look at how to connect and unite more spaces to host this humanity.Image: Benjamin YoudMusic: Eamonn O'Dwyer Hosted on Acast.
