How do you manage your expectations, or do you even manage them at all? If you are in sales, the average sale takes 7-12 contacts before a deal can be closed. If you come in to each deal thinking you will close it down on the first visit, and repeatedly get turned down, you will begin to lose your drive and determination.
Now on the other hand, if you manage your expectations and know going in to the sales process you will need to make 7-12 calls, when you are not done with the deal after 4 attempts, you will already be in the mindset that you have to keep going and find it much easier to keep grinding it out to the close.
