The term "cocooning" came into vogue a few years ago as a way to describe staying inside one's home instead of going out to socialize. Cocooning blossomed during the height of the pandemic and still many people prefer it. A wonderful way to get some exercise and to grow your relationships outside your home is simply to walk and while you are walking – talk! Talk to the Lord who loves you and talk to the people in your life! Talk to your Lord about the issues and the people on your heart with a spirit of worship. Talk to the people in your life by calling them or texting them. It's easy to talk texts as you walk and send short messages of encouragement. Jesus walked everywhere and nearly always had somebody with him. Perhaps there is someone who will walk with you. Or walk in a fashion that takes you by the same residences over and over, day after day, and be open to stopping briefly for a "hello," when you bump in to some one (and you will). The Lord who loves you will love people through you as you walk and talk!
