The World Solar Challenge, one of the toughest and most prestigious events, gives teams from around the world the opportunity to design and build a vehicle to operate along a 3000km outback route from Adelaide to Darwin in Australia. Adam Chambers is joined for this episode by Hannah and Tom, two young designers who competed in 2019. They discuss the car Helia, built by Cambridge students to compete in the race and appearing at the motor show, as well as their career ambitions and how solar and EVs will change the automotive industry.
