Episode Synopsis
On today’s chat, we’ve got a talented D1 gymnast from the University of Washington. She’s also a co-founder of the Black student-athlete alliance on campus as well as the president of the Washington student-athlete advisory council. She just graduated and will now be working at a downtown emergency service center, and directing a research project at harbor view’s injury prevention and research center.
We talked about what roles athletic departments and student-athletes have in the conversation around racial injustice, and then switched gears to hear about how she was handling the abrupt switch from D1 athletics to finding jobs.
