The reason for this is because they wouldn't do the same because they have different values and goals than you. so what do you do? politely listen but do what you was gonna do anyway. You need to understand everyone will tell you its the wrong thing to do but stay in you lane, stay focused and do you, coz no one else can do it better. if you don't you will then resent these people in years to come.
