Katherine Frankel was born in Australia, attended school in France, returned to Australia and completed a law degree. She worked as a flight attendant for an international airline before moving to management and implementing new equal opportunity laws. Katherine then emigrated to the US where she worked as entrepreneur/business owner and journalist. She retired at 38 to write and travel.
