THE BOOK OF PASSIONS I by Apostle Ezzie White CHAPTER SEVENTEEN The prisons are filled oh Lord. The path of truth they are unable to find. The deceivers, they all stand guard at the door. 2 The enemy is too strong for me. Without thine help Lord, the enemy is much stronger than I can defeat. 3 How shall it be that I should free the people, those that are appointed unto righteousness? 4 Go before me oh Lord and I shall follow. Smite the enemy and I shall prevail in the name of my God. 5 The walls are high and fortified with lies and deceit. The truth shall be as a blast against their fortress. 6 They shall find no place to hide from the sword of the Lordʼs mouth. The fire of his nostril and thunder of his voice shall consume the enemy. 7 Thou oh lord hast heard the cry of the people and hath sent me to help them. Thou hast touched my heart with their conditions and made me to understand their need. 8 I am camouflaged with humiliation and shame. I am overlooked as a fool for the kingʼs delight. 9 I am often reminded of being a servant for the masterʼs use. The glory belongs unto thee oh Lord. The glory belongs unto thee. 10 Thou hast place upon me thy spirit for the attack. The truth, it hast gone out with great force. The enemy is confounded. 11 The prisoners, through the voice of thy servant, are made aware of thy presence oh Lord, they know that thou art come. 12 The deceivers stir about with the intent of destroying my soul, but according to thy wisdom oh Lord thou hast hid me in shame, and dishonor doeth cover me in the midst of the people. 13 Hold me up in battle Lord; let not my enemies rejoice over me, for thou art able to bring all the counsel of the wicked to naught. 14 For the just has the Lord on their side, he will take up their cause and bring their enemies into their presence to be repaid. 15 The lord shall bring his people out from under the hand of the enemy so that they might have life. Let the people say praise the Lord. 16 He shall feed his people with the light, even the bread of heaven. Let the people say amen. Let the chosen give praise unto the name of their God.
