Listen "(#142) Acts 2:38 Only Applied to the Jews"
Episode Synopsis
The event of speaking in other tongues that occurred on the day of Pentecost, recorded in the book of Acts 2nd chapter, has been adopted and declared by certain church organizations as the primary model for obtaining salvation. This declaration is a gross misrepresentation of spiritual truth. The people that promote this event care nothing concerning the fact that the tongue speaking and Peter’s sermon that followed afterwards were aim strictly towards the Jews. The Lord had specifically commanded his apostles against preaching to the gentiles and Samaritans at that time. Therefore, if he didn’t want the Pentecostal event to include the gentiles and Samaritans then, no one can come on afterwards and declare it unto them at a later time. Speaking in other tongues was never a commandment, but a sign unto the Jews of acceptance for fellowship and brotherly love, especially towards the gentiles.
