Omar Santos is a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) security, cybersecurity research, incident response, and vulnerability disclosure. He is also the lead of the DEF CON Red Team Village and the chair of the Common Security Advisory Framework (CSAF) technical committee, and co-chair of the Coalition for Secure AI - an open ecosystem of AI and security experts from industry leading organizations dedicated to sharing best practices for secure AI deployment and collaborating on AI security research and product development, with members such as Google, Microsoft, Anthropic, OpenAI, NVIDIA, and more. We chat about the important work the Coalition is doing, and how it could impact the areas of cyber defense.
