In this podcast, the Accord Team, Rebecca and Naomi, talk about gossip which is where we talk about people behind their backs or without their knowledge, and that can include details that are not true. It is not wrong to talk about people without them being present but it is something that we have to do correctly from a correct heart position. Gossip can be damaging for us, the people that we are talking about and others that hear it, and in some cases, when it begins to enter into the realm of slander, there can be legal consequences. There are plenty of Scriptures that tell us about how God feels about gossip and we are told to stay away from those who gossip, and also to guard our mouths from it, but it really does come down to our heart position and making sure that that is always correct and pure.
