John 11:38-44, 12:17-19. The calling of Lazarus from the tomb had a domino effect for many, especially the crowd that gathered and witnessed the raising of Lazarus. In chapter 12 we see how this domino effect played out and reached even beyond the Jewish community. As a safe haven, the church is called to be a place that invites those outside, in, that cares for and encourages one another, and that intentionally creates communities in which lifelong transformation happens. This is best exemplified in grace-filled and authentic relationships.
