Listen "Burnout and career changes"
Episode Synopsis
Today we speak with Chris who has worked for the last 12 years within the Qld Police Child Trauma Unit.Recently Chris, had to change units due to the fatigue to her body and mind. The deployment and what she dealt with daily, finally impacted her in a way that she knew she had to leave the unit. This is such a raw and honest talk about losing your identity, finding new pathways and goals, and what impact that has on you.We chat about self care and tenderness, especially in high stress roles. Whether that be nursing, policing, paramedics or medical. We MUST care for ourselves first and foremost to be able to care for others. This chat really impacted me. Chris is an amazing police woman who put children first at all times.I am in awe of her strength and courage.Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/tendernessnursesSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
