The Government's plan to plant a billion trees, coupled with the Zero Carbon Bill, has New Zealand farmers worried about the future of livestock farming.With the east coast of the North Island already seeing some sheep and beef properties sold to forestry, there are concerns about how these policies will shape rural communities in the future.
