Google is reporting that young people under twenty are three times more likely to fall victim to online scams than their grandparents. One reason for that is the amount of time they spend online, but Google cybersecurity expert Michael Sinno says it is easy for anyone to be taken in…especially during the holiday shopping season. What to do..
“With kids, there is the Family Link app that parents can use to help monitor and manage their childrens’ Internet activity and there is also now the Be Internet Awesome campaign at beinternetawesome.google.com that will help teach kids and others even how to spot scams, how to be safe online.”
A couple of other quick tips.. that you probably already know..Be careful what you click on…and if a deal sounds too good to be true..most likely …it is.
