Dark matter surrounds us, we cannot resist or hide from it. But we can embrace it, and even celebrate it though art of sound. Such is the case for the debut of one Scanner Darkly, who may remit us to deeper and darker sound-scapes but instills hope that with darkness, comes light...For the Sun Will Rise. And with optimistic eyes and open ears, we can be hopeful that this producer’s path is proving to be quite promising. Three (3) deeply hypnotic and substantial Scanner Darkly tracks populate the Techniche Recordings catalog with wonderful results. “Lepper” initiates this EP as a brooding arpeggiated affair reminding us what lurks the dark corners of our minds, while “Patsy” takes the blame for being the most solid track that fits in between the other 2 quite well. Finishing the EP is the title track “The Sun Will Rise,” that soothes all of our fears of the dark with light accents to round out this proper release. Hosted on Acast.
