Listen "Ep. 355: Bass Parlour - A Music Platform Success Story - with Darryl Stephens"
Episode Synopsis
In 2018, Darryl started hosting music collaboration showcases for musicians in Washington D.C. and Atlanta, where he'd pair them up and give them time to create a new song from scratch. With the popularity of these showcases he decided to open a co-working space for musicians called Bass Parlour Studios.
The studio quickly became a staple in Atlanta’s independent music community, but unfortunately when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, we were forced to close Bass Parlour Studios. After seeing the need for a space to find new collaborators and create with, he decided to develop a mobile app called ‘Bass Parlour’ that would allow musicians to find each other and collaborate on new music remotely. The Bass Parlour app is quickly becoming a global music tool used by musicians around the world.
