Episode Synopsis
Dr. Taylor tells how the brain takes in sensory data through the brain stem and sends it to the thalamus gland, a triage center near the top of the brain stem. From there, it is sent to the correct decoding center. Once the data is decoded, whether the brain stores that information in long-term memory depends on several things.
