Listen "026: Mental Health Matters w/ Shanita Jackson"
Episode Synopsis
I had a breakdown, I needed help, I found therapy . . . Ms. Shanita Jackson allows me to get deep into her life and personal journey as it relates to mental health. Shanita is a FAMU alum, social worker, ‘mauntie’ and brown girl striving for better mentally, physically and emotionally. During the interview, Shanita allowed me to ask some tough questions and she didn’t hold back in the answers. Delayed but not denied, we were scheduled to have this intimate interview a while back, but I had to take a ‘Tiny Tab Break’ as I had some imbalances of my own. Blessed to be back and better, the break was needed!Shanita collectively shares from her past, her profession and her personal life. Never be afraid to tell your story, it can change someone’s life, someone’s perspective and someone’s level of understanding as it relates to others. I am grateful for this interview.
