Or have you felt goose bumps pop out on your arms as you hear someone talk about an unusual supernatural encounter? Did you find yourself saying “If I ever once experienced something like that, I would always be pumped about serving God”? Over the years I have learned that great spiritual experiences and supernatural encounters are not enough to sustain faith, they may even, at times, contribute to discouragement.
