NOTES:

We all desperately desire the love of a good father
Missing fathers have devastated society - high percentages of adolescent suicide, substance abuse, mental patients and rapists come from fatherless homes; especially young boys suffer from fatherlessness
Jesus’ prophetic description is not only a child, but a father
Earthly fathers either “fall off the horse” one way or the other - either they are “all truth”/harsh, disciplinarian or “all grace”/no discipline, all love; Jesus strikes the perfect balance
And Jesus is “Everlasting”
