Listen "Suzanne Brown on how —and why— to use storytelling in your board role"
Episode Synopsis
Today on the Take on Board podcast, I’m speaking with Suzanne Brown about the importance of story-telling for board members. Almost straight out of school Suzanne talked her way into a job at the ABC, where she worked on everything from kids shows, news and current affairs, documentaries, drama and arts programs. Since the ABC, she’s been producing, writing and editing stories for industry, corporate, magazines, blogs, not-for-profits, and social impact projects. Suzanne loves the power of a story to broaden perspectives, remind us of our common humanity, make people care and create change.Links from the showFutureCrunch - Positive news The blog article that inspired the episode - Why board members need to be good storytellersKaren Ebar - why storytelling is more trustworthy then presenting dataThe NonProfit Alliance Purpose Workshop - 6 images, 6 momentsBrene Brown, - The imperative of owning your own storiesStory 10x by Michael Margolis - Book.Upcoming TOB EventsTake on Board Breakfast - 9 November 2022 | 7.30am - 9.30am, Zoom.
