Stephanie and I spoke about her life and career up to the present day. Stephanie worked as a television reporter for nearly a decade covering the news and being a weekend anchor until she decided to leave the role in September 2020. We spoke about where her initial love for travel came from. Stephanie became fluent in Spanish and then went on to live in the Dominican Republic and Colombia. She also lived in Colombia while participating in a Fulbright Programme. We spoke about her book 'Blacktrekking-My journey living in Latin America,' a memoir of her journey in Latin America, and why it was important to share her story.Stephanie spoke to me about her blog, Blacktrekking. Her aim is to share family travelling experiences and motherly tips. She also talked about the importance of wanting to highlight destinations that focus on Black History and Culture. We spoke about some specific trips of hers on this. She is also looking to perhaps write a children's book to educate them about Black History on subjects that aren't covered in school. Stephanie is married, and her son was born in June.We discussed some of her hobbies, which include Salsa Dancing and working out in the gym.It was a pleasure talking to Stephanie.
