In this episode of SurgOnc Today, Dr, Zahraa AlHilli is joined by Dr. Christine Klassen, Dr. Wendie Berg, and Dr. Jennifer Harvey discuss what it means when patients receive a mammogram result of "dense breasts", including the risk of cancer being missed on a mammogram and also the risk of developing breast cancer in the context of family history and other factors. The group will further detail options for supplemental screening with MRI, ultrasound, or, in the future, contrast-enhanced mammography and uses of AI in breast imaging.
