Listen "Struggles are Real-Your Thoughts Count"
Episode Synopsis
Florence Littauer-Personality Plus-The Four Humors is one of the resources Dennis spoke about and shared as we discussed how we are different and self-awareness.
We had a small moment that we discussed, and how we are able to get through those moments without pointing fingers or blaming the other person. What we think is often the culprit of the ongoing conflict of that small moment of miscommunication, and how we move forward is in our control. We can choose how we react, we can choose to move forward and sometimes that means there needs to be a cooling off period, to allow emotions to settle and decide how we can communication better and how to talk about our needs and expectations.
Being able to verbalize our needs and being vulnerable is one of the key components of healthy relationships, feeling safe and having an open mind helps us do that. I love my husband, why do I question his love for me? Working on this ALL THE TIME. In it forever, no matter what has to be at the forefront of my work on my own mindset. Running and hiding does not prove itself to be effective.
What are the deal breakers for you? Have you spoken about them, do you know what they are? If you haven't, I highly encourage you to have that conversation, and this way you can keep that close during times of conflict, that it wasn't a deal breaker moment, it was a me moment or a moment we need to calm or find balance, and then carry on. Do you have those moments? If so, please share them, or you can email me [email protected] and share how you get through those times. I would love to hear your story.
