Welcome to the Sunbird Soundoff, sponsored by Haydock Real Estate, Inc., in partnership with Keller Williams Fresno.
The Fresno Pacific Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has announced a week-long fundraiser in partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and its' Workout for Wishes campaign. The goal is to raise $10,000 between Feb. 15 and 22 to use collegiate athletics as a medium to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.
As an NCAA Division II member, Fresno Pacific has been a longtime partner with Make-A-Wish, raising more than $1300 through various in-game promotional activities in 2019-20. FPU Athletics has won the PacWest Conference's Community Engagement Award four times (2014, 2015, 2018, 2019) and the league's Make-A-Wish Award twice (2016, 2017).
All 15 of FPU's programs have agreed to do a workout inspired by Wish Kids and their medical journeys. If the goal of $10,000 is met, FPU Athletics will have the opportunity to grant a wish for someone in the Central Valley.
