It's ironic that as we use the month to mark the accomplishments of the Black Diaspora, we find ourselves fighting the same battles we have fought for generations. Racial inequality continues to be a major issue in America today. Despite the progress that has been made in recent decades, African Americans are still denied basic rights such as voting, access to education, equal justice, and economic opportunities.
