Too often, ambitious women are viewed as pushy, selfish and unlikeable. This week I attended the Women In Business virtual expo and one of the speakers was sharing about women in leadership. It resonated when she spoke about how everyone wants to give women feedback. They are too hard, too soft, too emotional or too serious. Being ambitious means you have to stop listening to what others tell you to do.
So, how can we change society’s distorted view of ambitious women?
Hold your head up high and do not apologise for ambition or success. You owe it to yourself and other women to rise up and shine. Be proud of the contribution you were born to make.
Ambition is veering you towards you fulfilling your calling in life and your abilities.
Your ambition can change the world. Remember that!
