Welcome to the Study, listeners! In this inaugural episode, we briefly introduce ourselves before setting out on our X-Men journey by discussing the first issues of both House of X and Powers of X, the beginning of an interlocked miniseries created by writer Jonathan Hickman and published in 2019, marking a big relaunch for the franchise. Among other things, we discuss how mutants have had a rough time, the not-so-subtle political maneuvers of Magneto, and sick robot designs.
