Episode Synopsis "1. Meghan and the Appeal"
In this episode Meghan Weber is featured with Lela and Ally moderating. They reference the Scandavian story “The Tale of Audun of the West Fjords'' where the main character Audun is invited to sail with a Norwegian captain to Greenland in return for Audun helping him. Starting in Norway, Audun then embarks on a journey where his strong will and luck helps him survive. A pivotal moment during Audun’s journey in the story is when Audun decides to spend all his money on a treasure (a bear) to give to King Sweyn. Auduns strong will is shown when Audun encounters King Harald and refuses to give the bear to him despite this putting his life into jeopardy due to the king's opposition to each other.
