Lee County, South Carolina, June 29. 1988, Chris Davis was just getting off work. He’d been on the evening shift and now had to drive home in the dark. His route took him through the Scape Ore Swamp. The first thing he noticed were the bright red eyes that seemed to glow on their own. The creature looked to be about seven feet tall and covered with green scales, and it was just behind his car. Chris hit the gas to get as far away from this weird thing as he could.
