Listen "War Crimes (part 1)"
Episode Synopsis
The war in Ukraine continues to provide Tracy with opportunities to explore the current crisis and draw parallels with Britain’s colonial past and this is continuing to help Tracy build on her own learning journey. This time, Tracy is inspired by the stories from soldiers who are participating in the current crisis and builds a perspective which presents a contrast and paradox to how other participants in war were perceived in the colonial empire. This episode complements the poetic narrative Bite from the Big Apple - a story for New York This episode is closely related to podcasts in Season 1 ‘The Book of Negroes - how Africa came to Nova Scotia,’ ‘Fire Sale!
