Listen "English Only Resolution"
Episode Synopsis
Today, we are discussing the English-Only Resolution of 1990 that caused the French Language Crisis in Sault Ste. Marie. This resolution caused a huge rift in the community, and the city has been split from the Francophone community. This explains what happened and why our French community is hidden. We have tried to heal along the way, but old wounds are not easily healed. I hope this episode sheds some light on the history of our community. For more information: Watch the Francophone History Discussion Panel video HERE.Download Dr. Michael Graydon's article HERE.I hope you enjoy this episode!________________________________Music written, performed, and Produced by Liam MorassutListen to the local Band HOLLOW HEADS story HEREPoetry written and performed by J.L.
