In Luke 10:2b, Jesus instructed his disciples on a key way they were to participate in the spiritual revolution He was initiating.  He told them to...
"Beseech the Lord of the harvest to thrust out (exballo) workers into the harvest."
No doubt the early church was faithful to pray this prayer.  However, some of the answers must have been shocking to those early followers of Jesus.

Who would have imagined Saul, the dreaded persecutor of the church in Acts 9?  When the Lord told Ananias to visit Saul/Paul and give him a message, Ananias responded, "You can't be serious!"  (The Message)



Who would have imagined Cornelius, a despised gentile and Roman soldier in Acts 10?  When the Lord was preparing Peter to visit Cornelius, His response was "Surely not!"


What if God is once again answering the 10:2b prayer in a way that is unexpected and shocking to most Christians?  What if the Lord of the harvest is actually compelling Christians to leave their church buildings?  Why would He do such a thing?
