This past weekend we celebrated my nephew's birthday and the day before, we sat and listened as his parents told the story of his birth. What took place on the day of his birth? Why do we do this? So he can now place his own life within the context of a greater story? Yes. So, he can have specific details and learn about the hopes and fear, joys and struggles, the sacrifices of parenting? Yes. But we also sat and listened simply because to tell the story of his coming into being fills all of us with Gratitude and reminds us of the deep love we have in common. Today, for many of the same reasons we’re going to be talking about a Christian’s coming into being. In other words, we’re going to be looking at a A Christian's Conversion.
