Listen "A History of Stine’s Guyana Nursery with Warren Stine"
Episode Synopsis
In 2004, Stine began conducting seed research work in the South American country of Guyana. While the location of our farmstead there has many advantages, including the ability to churn four generations of seed per year, it also has an interesting background. Assistant director of corn research Warren Stine joins the Stine Seedcast to share his historical account of the Stine farm in Guyana, from its first settlers in the 1700s and how they used the land to how the farm’s unique soil types have developed over time.
