The year was 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee and record producer Sam Phillips launched his record company, Sun Records. Two years later he found the one and only Elvis Presley. He went on to record Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Junior Parker, James Cotton and on and on.
