KEY TAKEAWAYS
It was a strong decision for me to move to Portugal from Germany and not everyone understood it, but they were calling me and I could hear it super-loud. When I make a decision I go for it. I had a really intense experience of leaving because Covid meant I couldn’t say goodbye properly. But, I bought a van a year and a half ago and I now live in that van with the community project.
In the community we teach yoga and how to properly dispose of waste as well as Portuguese lessons to help us integrate into the local society. We also teach about masturbation, sexuality, and other processes that – as a woman – you don’t really know about. It’s another very big topic I’m learning about now! There’s so much shame around all these topics as well as a lack of knowledge. It’s about connecting with yourself in this way as well.
When we are all really committing, showing up and are dedicated to do the work we are doing, that we need these places where it’s possible to do that and heal old wounds, not just from us but from our ancestors. I’m creating a new way of living without criticising the one I had before, creating something new, finding ways and experimenting with how it can work for everyone.
A lot of people don’t want to see it, they feel uncomfortable. And if that’s the way you are, I won’t be able to change your point of view. But, if you are open and feel things are a little bit weird or off for you then please do something and don’t put alcohol, food or drugs on top of it and think it’ll go away. There are so many options and the best way to start id to start small.

BEST MOMENTS
‘I was feeling really bad and the Earth was saying you “have to be here”, that’s when I realised I had to focus either on the community project in Portugal or the store in Germany.’
‘The transition to living a nature-connected life made me feel instantly at home.’
‘We would like to create a space for people to live as their authentic and true self. We want to have everybody in their full potential, power and passion. It will be like heaven on Earth.’
‘I can really do something beautiful with my excrement, it’s gold for growing food. It’s not bad or disgusting.’
ABOUT THE GUEST
Dinah Stark had what most people would consider a good job in a big company, earning good money, but she wasn’t happy. She started seeing a psychologist and by getting this heal and getting to know herself she decided to get in contact to her inner child again and turned her back on what others expected her to do and follow her path to starting her own zero waste, vegan friendly café/shop in Germany and eventually moving to live in a community project in Portugal.
ABOUT THE HOST
Gavin Scott is a born entrepreneur with a passion for start up and scale up. He has over 20 years real estate experience in investment and development.
Gavin says: Over the years I have discovered that mindset is everything. Now, that might sound obvious, but it is! You see the number of awoken minds are very few in reality. Whilst acknowledging mindset is key it is absolutely different from utilising, influencing, impacting and effecting great change, for yourself, your loved ones, friends, colleagues and the wider public.
Why?
Like most of us I have had many ups and downs. I want to share the lessons learnt and promote a better environment for all, internally and externally!
How?
Through sharing my own experiences and hosting some fabulous individuals including some big household names to discuss key topics around mindset and the success formulas I hope the listener will become inspired to create space for change for betterment in their lives. I aim to inspire change by encouragement, not by force. I intend to inspire by education, not by regulation.
