US Senator Joe Lieberman has had a long, distinguished, and strikingly independent career in public service. Elected to the Senate as a Democrat, he was the first American Jew to be nominated as Vice President in the 2000 election. Today, Senator Lieberman serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations, is a proud supporter of bipartisan relations and a true friend to the State of Israel. He recently played a pivotal role in a  documentary about former Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin's life, which was produced by Rob Schwartz.
