Dr Prof Michael Koehler is an internationally acclaimed conductor celebrated for his rich, warm-toned orchestral sound rooted in the German musical tradition. He has led major orchestras and performed at prestigious concert halls around the world, from Europe to Asia and the Americas. As Artistic Director and Music Director of the Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra since 2000, he has distinguished himself with imaginative and powerful interpretations.
