There was major surprises and takeaways from the NFL Draft 2021. I forgot to mention the Atlanta Falcons drafted Kyle Pitts, who some believe is a generational talent. Atlanta needs defense help and to improve the offensive line, but Atlanta decided to bolster their offensive repertoire. Other surprises was Trey Lance being picked at number 3 by the San Francisco 49ers. Lance only played one full season at North Dakota State. Ja’marr Chase was picked five by the Bengals instead of Penei Sewell. Jaylen Waddle was chosen at #6 instead of Heisman trophy winner Devonta Smith. Philly made a great decision drafting Devonta Smith where they have finally drafted a dynamic receiver. The move of the night was the Chicago Bears trading and up an drafting an elite quarterback.
