Episode Synopsis
Today’s episode highlights Tracie Schoenherr, a devoted sports mom to two athletes, Savannah and Blake. Savannah is a 6th year Division 1 NCAA gymnast who transferred from University of Florida to LSU, and she is an SEC Champion at both schools. Blake found a passion for motocross which brought more adventure into their family. Tracie discusses staying true to yourself and embracing our differences, as Savannah, who is a part of the LGBTQ community, is a strong advocate of equality. In her parenting journey, Tracie focuses on supporting her children’s passions with an emphasis on happiness, even if it meant the family living states apart in order for Savannah to pursue her gymnastics career. Listen in as Tracie shares her sports mom advice on truly knowing our kids, finding the right fit in the transfer portal, and welcoming new experiences along the way.
