Huge expectations and rightly so as most supporters would say for boasting one of the if not the best and most experienced group as compared to majority of their competition. Coming off an impressive group stage performances notably the dominating performance against Egypt, excitement and optimism intensified. It all came crashing against a shorthanded North African side Tunisia, that were greatly helped by the underwhelming performance of the Super Eagles
