Listen "Dementia: Watching a Loved One Die Slowly"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textThere is a grief that comes from losing a loved one, over time, to dementia. As her father went into the hospital, my sister-in-law was faced with the caring of her mother overnight. Her dad did not come home, so her mom came to live with her. Along with these adjustments, her mother had dementia. We discuss the decisions, progression, and the final stages of life as her mom deteriorated right before her eyes. She talks about the difficulty of putting someone into hospice care and transparently tells us that she struggled with why God would let her mother suffer in this way. This is Part 2 of her story. grief, dementia, caregiver, dementiacare, dementiaawareness, dementiasupport, memoryloss, dementiacaregiver, hope, hopeafterloss, hopeingrief, grieving, loss, griefandloss, griefjourney, lossofamother, lossofalovedone, griefrecovery, griefsupport, griefawareness, grievingprocess, delayedgrief, hospice, feedingtube, healing, bereaved, death, family, love, memorieshttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHF96xK32sAvVGvSjlw0lfQ Join us on Facebook and Instagram at Speak Your Grief with Sonya
